about the show

After the disappearance of their patriarch, a family returns to the seaside for one last beach vacation before the fall. Gertrude has married her husband’s brother, Claude. Ham is doing that thing again where he barks at people. Claude can’t stop eating and unfortunately Gertrude is starting to notice. Paul is full of good ideas, but dammit, he keeps forgetting them.

And Ophelia seems to be turning into a fish.

here comes the tide / there goes the girl is a new tragicomic adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, written by Nadja Leonhard-Hooper and directed by Genevieve Fowler
